Bogie, who is a Schnoxie, half Schnauzer, half Dachshund, got his first hair cut this week. I am not sure I like it.....he looks like a real boy, I mean dog, now. Kay O said that it might help him calm down some and I actually think that it has! Bogie is a year and a half and soooo hyper. He barks loudly, chases the cats, jumps on people, eats and steals everyones treats.........Sadie's (Llaso Apso) personality is more like a cat. I keep telling Sadie that she is not a real dog. What dog turns her nose up to treats, even meat at times? Not Bogie.....there is nothing that he hasn't at least tried. For all of Bogie's shortcomings.....he can be such a sweet boy. Last night I was going through my before bed ritual and when I got to the room, Bogie was just waiting all curled up on my pillow. He is the BEST snuggler! I don't think that I have ever had a dog that makes me laugh like Bogie does. In the mornings he wakes up so happy and gives lots of kisses. I am pretty sure that Bogie is here for Sam. I think dogs must have purposes too, right? He has already proven himself with the neighborhood boys, he is very good with kids. So.....we are all just waiting......well okay, Bogie is running around, getting into trouble but still waiting for Sam, nonetheless!

First Hair Cut

I must agree with you re: the dog waiting for a child...in our household, they are "sisters" and my it is such an important relationship! They love eachother so much and really are the best of pals!! Your dogs are such cuties!!

You & your animals remind me so much of me & my critters.
Cowboy our maltipoo is the only boy dog we have ever owned. If he is any indication of what having a boy around is going to be then I know there will never be a dull moment. Last week he was barking at a turtle in my yard & yesterday he dug up my newly planted flower bed while mole hunting. He makes me laugh sooo much that I can't be mad with him for long. My husband says he has ADD.
