It's the Journey

My sister Darcy and her family gave me this wonderful necklace for Christmas. The company is Dogeared. Each necklace comes with a message...this was with my necklace;
                                IT'S THE JOURNEY
there are so many facets in life, like the drop on this necklace....each time you think one is figured out, several new ones unfold.  wear your necklace as a daily reminder to never give up and to enjoy the life found in the journey.    Dogeared

I have met so many wonderful people along the way of my adoption journey.  Some of those people I have not even met in person but I have laughed and cried with them, and they are very special to me, none the less.  So, I am pledging to never give up on my journey to find my child and I will enjoy the life that is unfolding before me. Happy New 2009!  May we all find our children in 2009 and not forget to enjoy the journey!

I love the saying "It's the Journey" since adoption is so much about the journey. I'm sorry Lexie & I missed you on our journey to Houston but we'll be back and we'll set a date to get together before we travel.

I just know 2009 is the year Sam will journey home to you. Then you'll start the new journey of motherhood!

Happy New Year!!

Lisa,

Here's to hoping that 2009 will be a better year for all of us. Never give up and enjoy life sounds like an inspiration for everyone. Thank you for all your positive vibes during the past year. Best wishes and Happy New Year.

Lisa,
What a great sentiment--you sister found you the perfect gift. While we are in process and I imagine after we have our child home, adooption is about the journey. Long ago (almost 2 years) I named my blog "Journey to Motherhood"--it has been a longer journey than I expected with many snags along the way but you are so right that it has been a journey filled with good things also--mostly the people we have "met" along the way.
Happy New Year Dear friend.

It is so incredibly wonderful to hear hope...I agree 1000%!

I have missed talking with you and Mary. Like any other journey you make in life... the more that come along - the more memories there are to share!!!

Happy holidays and welcome to 2009!

Hey, just checking on you and hope you're doing well. We send our best to you, and maybe that Hula Hut margarita will happen soon?

Looking for Sam

This is a blog of my quest to adopt a child from Kazakhstan. Enjoy!
