Volcation

Little things to make the time pass....last week on the 14th, I had my first trip to Frankfurt Germany. We stay in a lovely little town called Mainz. Our normal layover is just about 24 hours, just enough time to see a few things, dinner and bed. So I wake the morning we are going to leave and my message light in the room is blinking...seems we are delayed because of the volcano ash from Iceland......well the slight delay keeps on going on and I finally get home 9 days later! It was funny though, the level of stress that each crew member experienced. I was so excited to be there and every day was an adventure. Every day was also a beautiful sunny spring day, warm during the day and I had my windows wide open at night. I didn't see much besides the little town and it's shops...have I mentioned that I love H & M?? I mean I had to have clothes!

What a lovely volcation! I would love to be stuck in Mainz for any length of time.

I'm so glad you turned lemons into lemonade - pink lemonade! I'm sure most of the crew had kids at home waiting. Think how freaked you'd have been if Sam was home! If it ever happens again Sam will be so think of last week as your last worry free volcation!

Lou Ann & Lexie on the mend too

I have a good friend who lives in Mainz, and I visited her for 10 days over Easter 7 years ago (it was my 30th b'day gift to myself.) It was the most wonderful trip, and I'd love to go back!!
