So you have to compare all that we go through to the birth of this little filly. We try everything to make it happen for us with our Adoption. (My trick is emailing my agency once a week...sometimes I get lucky and I get good news...even though I know good and well she would have been telling me the same had I been a little more patient!) I also know in my heart that this little guy or girl that I bring home is 100% meant to be mine. I believe that this child was chosen my me or by God or my child chose me ahead of time....whatever....we are meant to be together. When I stress about situations that may or may not occur, I have to stop and tell myself that NO ONE else is going to get my child, I will be the one to bring my child home. He is meant to be my child just as if he was born to me, just like this filly......he probably won't come in my time or by my rules but he will come to me when it is the right time for us both!
So Mary, please keep reminding me as I reminded you... "I am exactly where I am supposed to be at this time"!!!!!!

Nicely said!
Lisa - You AND Sam are where you are meant to be at this time. We can suggest, beg, plead and pray but only God gets to make the big decisions! So sit back and try to enjoy where you are right now since it's going to change as soon as you let Him do his job.
Peace out!
Lou Ann & Lexie too
It DOES seem that things always happen when you least expect them to (or least want them to - we were both out of town when our LOI arrived and it was about the worst week of any in the 4 mos we were waiting to get the LOI!). I am in the process of booking an expensive girls' spa weekend for the end of April... and have this nagging feeling that Murphy's Law will strike...
I can only imagine the "wait"... but like you said, the child that is meant to be yours will be yours. I am here waiting along with you and can not wait for that bit of good news!

HI Lisa,
I thought I had commented here but I don't see it. I said something like..
I can be your example that dreams really do come true even if the road is hard. You are exactly where You are supposed to be right now and your dream will come true also.
Be sure to blog about the homestudy update--I'm anxious to hear.
beautiful analogy. Lisa, we had many twisted paths on our road. Paths that ended or twisted. but I kept listening to my heart which said that the *our* child would be united with us at the right time. I kept that frame of mind despite the fact that I feel like an impatient person. I just knew it would work out as it was meant to. I know the same for you because I see it so many times with adoptive parents. It just works as it should and just as I was told by countless PAPs, one day you will look back and think "THIS is why i waited."
